Girls trip to NYC with ID90

Even though I have been to NewYork multiple times before, but the idea of exploring the unique city with my new blogger friends Samreen and Mehru was beyond exhilarating. Previously I had visited NewYork with family and with my significant other, but the idea of a girl’s weekend in the BIG Apple required more planning to find the right hotel in the right location so we could really pack in all the things we wanted to do in the city in the short span of a weekend.

Fortunately we were introduced to ID90 through Mehru who has been part of the travel industry for years and previously had used their services and had found amazing deals for hotels and cruises around the world through their website & apps. That hookup definitely came handy when we partnered with ID90 to showcase Newyork’s finest places to stay & visit – all for a fraction of a cost we would have incurred if we booked them directly.

After painstakingly researching that every place we wanted to visit was close to the Bryant Park area, we chose the beautiful Stewart Hotel conveniently located only a couple of blocks from the Penn station and walking distance to Bryant Park area. The Stewart Hotel is a regal boutique hotel with old world charm combined with modern amenities. The hotel lobby even though full of out-of-towners was big enough to convey the sense of luxury and relaxation with multiple seating options, computer stations and a concierge desk.

ID90 was created exclusively for the travel industry professionals, but now they are letting us all travel enthusiasts take advantage of their industry-only rates. Our shared suite was very spacious (by NYC standards). It had a large bed and a living room area that converted into another large bed. My favorite part was the large desk & vanity area that was definitely required when 3 makeup loving girls get together. The only complaint I had was with the bathroom – which was tiny! But since we got such an amazing deal for our hotel, that compromise was acceptable.

Our first night out we wanted the quintessential NYC experience. We started off with the David Zwirner Gallery to see the Yayoi Kusama Exhibit called ?Every day I pray for Love?. The main attraction was the infinity mirror room, but unfortunately we weren?t able to get in because of the long lines (4 hr wait time). We did see the rest of the exhibit which was beautiful and unique and just thought provoking. My fav piece was the ladder to the heaven.

Next we wanted to try some southasian desi food and the GupShup restaurant in NYC kept coming up in our searches. The place was such a pleasure to visit as each corner, each wall was decorated in a creative design paying homage to the south Asia. The food was just as good with authentic spicy masala flavors expertly fuzed with milder American classics.

We didn?t stay out too late because we had a much anticipated photoshoot with the amazingly talented fashion photographer Marques Jackson. We all coordinated our outfits with sleek black & chromes to compliment the big apple.

The highlight of our next evening was our girl-blogger meetup at the fabulous Press Lounge in NYC! We chose that because of their rooftop deck that showcased the best of NYC skyline.
