The best way to feel during the Summer? Easy-Breezy (& well beautiful too, but that really depends on the temperature we are dealing with right?) As much as I love wearing the sunny cotton dresses during the summer, sometimes I miss the creativity that layering of blouses and trousers grants you. The perfect solution is wearing cropped Culottes.

They are the trendy sister of midi length skirts, however they look casual yet super chic and add the versatility to your outfit to be paired with tshirts to blouses in your closet. I picked up two different culottes from one of my fav spots for shopping: Nordstrom Rack. Instead of going with the traditional black, white or navy, I went with colors that will bring some diversity to my wardrobe and make it interesting. I tried a silk one in caramel and a stretchable knit in a dark teal.

I wanted to style both distinctly to give them their own flair. To extend the look with the nude, I paired it with pale pink sleeveless flowy top, and some animal print low heels. I feel this look can make it from workday to happy hour seamlessly and beyond.

The second look I wanted to keep very casual – think Sunday brunch you can walk to. I had a t-shirt that I found during a successful thrift store hunt. The Rio-Brazil bright red t shirt was waiting to be paired with that teal to bring up both items. I added my sequined Steve madden flats with the outfit to add a little weekend flavor.
